Silvio & Filomena’s Olive Oil Branding and
Package Design
The icon is formed from two Fs, one for Filomena and one for their daughter Florence, brought together to create an S for Silvio, with a nod to their other daughter, Sue. Their forms intertwine like the lives they shared, a symbol of love, family, and a life built side by side. Silvio & Filomena’s is rooted in memory and tradition, carried forward around the table where meals are shared, stories are told, and time slows down. It reflects a way of life shaped by pride, craftsmanship, and care, where every detail carries meaning.
The identity is designed to feel lived in and timeless, balancing warmth and emotion with a fresh perspective. It is more than a logo or label. It is a tribute to heritage, to the bonds that bring people together, and to the simple, enduring joy of gathering, cooking, and sharing a meal with the people you love.
The typography is carefully composed to create rhythm, contrast, and balance across the name. A mix of sizes across the letterforms introduces movement and individuality, while select characters are intentionally emphasized or restrained to guide the eye.
In Silvio, a more cursive version of the “S” adds a subtle human touch, hinting at heritage and personality. In Filomena, the composition becomes more structured, the smaller “o” and “a” forms, paired with an underscore, create a grounded, almost architectural baseline.
The name is anchored by a prominent “F” at the beginning and a large “S” at the end, creating a frame that brings the entire logo into balance. The result is a wordmark that feels intentional and harmonious, blending elegance with control.
