MICHAEL MALONEY
Michael Maloney is the award-winning Chief Creative Officer of Brand Force 5, a New Jersey branding, logo design, and advertising agency. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, he has helped organizations of all sizes build stronger, more memorable brands through strategic thinking, compelling design, and effective communication.
His experience ranges from global brands and healthcare organizations to startups, nonprofits, family-owned businesses, and fitness and wellness companies. Throughout his career, Michael has contributed to branding, advertising, packaging, digital, and integrated marketing initiatives for organizations including Procter & Gamble, Heineken, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, AstraZeneca, Merck, Pfizer, Nike, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Homes4Heroes, and many others.
Before launching Brand Force 5, Michael held leadership positions at some of the industry’s most respected agencies, including Wells, Rich, Greene, McCann Erickson, Grey, Ogilvy, FCB, TBWA\WorldHealth, and Medicus. His work has spanned consumer products, healthcare, beauty, fashion, pharmaceuticals, fitness and wellness, nonprofit organizations, and business-to-business communications, providing a unique perspective on what makes brands succeed across different industries and audiences.
At Brand Force 5, Michael specializes in helping organizations define who they are, clarify what makes them different, and create brand experiences that connect with the people they serve. His work includes brand strategy, logo design, visual identity systems, packaging design, advertising, websites, marketing materials, and creative direction. Recent projects include award-winning branding work for organizations such as Warm Heart Pediatrics, Water and Stone, Ferazzoli’s Italian Kitchen, and numerous businesses throughout New Jersey and beyond.
Michael’s work has been recognized by organizations including GDUSA, the Davey Awards, the Telly Awards, the Communicator Awards, the New Jersey Advertising Club, and numerous other industry competitions. His projects have earned recognition across branding, logo design, packaging design, print communications, advertising, and integrated marketing disciplines.
Beyond the agency world, Michael taught Advertising Concepts at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), served as a firefighter with the Rutherford Fire Department, worked as a personal trainer and running coach, and authored and illustrated the children’s book Silverback and Son. These diverse experiences continue to influence his perspective on leadership, communication, discipline, and human connection.
